What is Spaceurs?
Spaceurs is the largest and most trusted online community to book recording studios, fashion photography studios, and videography studios in India. We have studios listed in 35+ cities in India on our site. We’re a bootstrap marketplace and have successfully generated hundreds of bookings in the past one year since we first started.
Our mission is to help artists further their careers by making home studios to top-line studios all around India accessible. We are also dedicated to helping studios share the incredible stories of music that originate in them, generate more bookings, and take their studio business to India’s most creative and talented artists that search for studios on Spaceurs.
How does Spaceurs work?
Spaceurs is an online platform for discovering and requesting to book some of the most unique and best studios in India. We connect artists with music studios that they might not have access to previously. Artists can search studios, compare prices, request to book, and receive confirmation through our platform. Our studios are also very passionate about helping artists and providing the best experience possible.
What does Spaceurs do?
Our marketplace is a platform that allows anyone to create an account in minutes, discover studios, request a time, book, and receive confirmation without any hassles. For studios, we make it easy to add your studio, manage booking requests, message directly with artists, and accept booking requests. As a company, we operate the online platform, market studios to artists, support our community, and ensure that both sides have the best experience possible.
Why should I use Spaceurs?
If you are a studio, it’s very simple in that we are a platform for you to share your studio with India’s top creatives, increase your bookings and revenue, and take your business beyond the reach of what was previously possible. We take the time and financial burden out of having to keep up with social media marketing, requests that are not vetted and become a hassle, and easily manage your bookings.
Do I need to create an account?
You can discover and browse studios without creating an account. To message a studio, request a booking, or list your studio you will be prompted to create a user account.
All user accounts require email verification. You must also add further verification and payment information when listing your studio.
Is it free to list my studio?
Currently, all listings are free of cost. But we will start charging a monthly subscription to list your studio on Spaceurs. This subscription starts at INR 1199/month
What countries do you support?
Currently, Spaceurs only operates in India. We have studios in 35+ cities. We are a small bootstrap startup located in Gurgaon. We focus on the Indian market specifically, but have generated bookings all over the world!
How do I add my studio?
Adding your studio to Spaceurs is easy and only takes a few minutes. Once you’ve created a Spaceurs account, you can select a subscription (here). We do require a monthly subscription to list have a studio listing. After you select a subscription, simply click the “Add your studio” at the top right. Please note that all listings are subject to review by our team to ensure the safety of our community. Once you submit your listing for review, we will approve it within 24 hours. How much is it to add my studio?
It is free of cost as of now. But we’ll start charging a monthly subscription to list your studio on Spaceurs. This subscription starts at INR 1199/month.
Do you charge transaction fees for bookings?
As of 3/21/2020, Spaceurs no longer facilitates payments for bookings and does not charge any transaction fees.

How can I add multiple rooms that I have at my studio?
We would love for you to add multiple rooms, studios, or locations to Spaceurs! This has been a common request in the past and why we made our premium subscription package. With this subscription, we can also help you get started adding your listings and provide you with more support, marketing reach, and also typically booking requests. You must have a premium subscription to have multiple listings.
How do I price my studio on Spaceurs?
We put pricing in the hands of studios. You can price your studio at your discretion and please take local rates, taxes, Spaceurs fees, and other fees into consideration when listing your hourly rate.
What should I put in my listing?
Your listing description should be an accurate description of the studio space, equipment, how it is typically used, and what artists can expect. Our community loves discovering new studios and the more detailed you can be, the more booking requests you will receive. You can also mention and detail additional services you offer. If you have particular studio policies, rules, expectations, booking terms, cancellation policy, etc please also include this in your listing.
How do I accept a booking request?
You can easily accept a booking request by doing the following:
1. When logged into your Spaceurs account, click on “Messages” in the top right navigation.
2. On the left side navigation of your Messages Inbox, select the “Booking Requests” tab.
3. Click on the booking request messages directly and you will see the option to accept or deny the booking request. Please note that you can also message the artist directly on the request to clarify any details and arrange to collect the payment off our platform and directly.
Do I have to accept a request?
You are not required to accept a request and may decline any request. If you take no action to accept or deny a request, the booking request will automatically expire in 24 hours. If you missed the request by accident, you can message the artist directly from their expired request and suggest that they make another request.
How long do I have to respond to booking requests?
You have 24 hours to either accept or deny a booking request. After 24 hours, the booking request will automatically expire. If you missed the request by accident, you can message the artist directly from their expired request and suggest that they make another request.
How can I modify a booking request?
Once a booking request is sent, the dates, amount, and details of the booking request cannot be modified. Please note that booking requests are not contractual booking agreements, but messages for requesting a booking.
How do I require an in-house Engineer for bookings?
If you require an in-house Engineer to be present and hired, you can select the option to include an Engineer in the hourly rate displayed on your studio listing. This can be done during your initial studio listing creation or by editing at any time from your dashboard.
How do I require an hourly minimum?
If you require an hourly minimum for your studio to be booked, you can mention this on your studio listing in the hourly minimum field. This can be done during your initial studio listing creation or by editing at any time from your dashboard.
How do I charge for additional services?
If you offer additional services that are not included in your studio booking, you can select the option for this to be displayed on your studio listing. This can be done during your initial studio listing creation or by editing at any time from your dashboard.
Can I require a deposit?
If you require a deposit, you can identify this on your studio listing and also mention this to Artists directly using our platform messaging. Please note that Spaceurs does not collect nor facilitate payments, so we are not responsible for any deposits, payments, or other fees.
How can I list my Cancellation Policy?
We’ve made it easy to identify your Cancellation Policy directly on your Spaceurs listing. You can also mention it or provide any other information about your policies to Artists directly through our platform messaging.
I accepted a booking request. How do I collect the payment?
When you accept a booking request, you can let Artists know the best method to pay you directly and collect the payment off our platform. Spaceurs does not collect any transaction payments and is not responsible for doing so. Studios are responsible for all transaction payments, deposits, and collecting any other fees directly from Artists and off our platform.
Do I have to report and pay taxes for studio booking income?
You must also legally report all income generated from studio booking that might originate from the Spaceurs platform. As a Studio, it is your business and responsibility to do so. If you are responsible for charging or collecting any local taxes on services, you must also comply with these regulations and do so.
Legal & Insurance
Do I need insurance for my Studio?
Yes, you should have an insurance policy in place for your studio prior to listing it on Spaceurs.
Does Spaceurs offer insurance?
No, Spaceurs does not offer marketplace insurance for bookings and instead suggests that all studios adequately ensure their studio, equipment, and premises prior to listing it on Spaceurs.
We are in discussion though, with a partner insurance company to provide this to all of the studios. In the meantime, you’ll be responsible for insurance.
Can I require artists to have their own insurance in order to book my studio?
Yes, you can require that artists have their own insurance policy in place for them to book your studio. In the event that you require this, please mention this in your description, notify all booking requests of this requirement, and also receive proof of insurance to verify this prior to accepting a booking.
Will artists be insured to book my studio?

Do I need to sign an agreement, waiver, or any other form of agreement?
Your Booking request through Spaceurs is not a contractual agreement, but a message requesting to use your studio as defined in the listing for the date, time period, and for price requested. If you have further studio requirements, such as a signed agreement, deposit, or payment in the advance requirement, please be sure to message Artists directly to inform them of this.
How do I request to book a studio?
Booking a studio is easy on Spaceurs and you can do so by creating a user account if you have not done so already. Once you do, you can then select a date and time on an individual studio listing and click “Request to book”. On the next page, you will be able to enter a message to the studio regarding how you intend to use the studio and any specific details, requirements, or needs regarding the booking request. You can then send the booking request to the studio.
Studios have 24 hours to accept or deny your booking request once submitted. If not replied to within 24 hours, your request will automatically expire.
How do I request a certain time, rate, or option that is not available but indicated on the listing and I need it?
If you are having trouble with a booking request, you can easily message the listing owner directly from the studio listing. Please note that it is against our Community Guidelines to send personal contact information or transact off our platform.
Is a booking request binding?
A booking request is not a contractual agreement or binding, it is simply a message and request letting a studio know you intend to book their Studio.If you sent a request by mistake, need to modify it, or cancel, we encourage you to immediately notify the studio using our messaging. Each studio listing enforces their own cancellation policy identified on their listing, so please keep this in mind. How many requests can I send?
You can send multiple requests, but we strongly recommend that you wait to hear back from a studio once you send a request. If the request is urgent, you can also send them a message regarding the booking request directly from their listing.
How long will it take for a studio to respond to my request?
Studios are typically very responsive and reply back as soon as they receive a booking request. If you do not hear back from a studio regarding your request, you can also send them a message regarding the booking request directly from their listing.
Is there a minimum or maximum booking duration?
Spaceurs does not require an hourly minimum for studio listings, but we rather let studios individually indicate their hourly minimums directly on their listing. If they mention an hourly minimum in their description, please note that they might not accept your booking request if it does not comply with their hourly minimum.
Can I modify a booking once it has been sent as a booking request?
Once a booking request has been sent it can not be modified. You can however message the studio directly, request for them to cancel, and resubmit another booking request.
When is a booking confirmed?
A booking is confirmed once indicated as completed by the studio listing owner.
How can I be safe and cautious when using Spaceurs?
While we do everything that we can to build the most trusted community of music studios to book, we rely on our community of users to help us by being proactive and always report any suspicious activity on our platform. We also have Community Guidelines that outline this in more detail.
Do I have to communicate with Spaceurs?
Yes, we ask that you never take communication outside of our platform messaging and never give your contact information prior to an accepted booking request. We also have Community Guidelines in place that outline this in more detail.
How do I create an account?
You can create a user account in minutes doing the following:

Enter your email address and create a secure password

How do I reply to messages and booking requests?
You can reply to messages and accept a booking request by doing the following:
When logged into your Spaceurs account, click on “Messages” in the top right navigation.
On the left side navigation of your Messages Inbox, select the “My Requests” to see your studio booking requests and the “Booking Requests” tab to respond to booking requests.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time by using the link to your Chargebee portal that was sent for your initial subscription payment confirmation. If you have an issue doing this or would like us to cancel your subscription for you, please email us at [email protected].
How can I delete my account?
If you would like to permanently delete your Spaceurs user account, please email us at [email protected].
How can I get a refund for my subscription?
If at any time you feel that a Studitime subscription you’ve paid is not worth the nominal fee to support the site, and community, and offer the level of service and commitment that we do, please email me at [email protected]. I will cancel your subscription for you if needed and also refund any pro-rated subscription amount that was prepaid.
